Green Impact is an environmental accreditation and awards scheme developed by the NUS that runs in universities, colleges and community organisations across the UK.
Green Impact aims to green institutions and encourage positive environmental behaviours. Staff departmental teams follow a structured online workbook, tailored to our University and filled with well-explained, straightforward and fun actions. Over the course of the year, the programme brings together staff and students to implement these actions, improving a department’s impact upon the environment. This greens the framework of the University and allows for powerful behaviour change to occur with staff greening the institution from the bottom up.
